We’re seeking a motivated, people-oriented Business Development Representative to help expand our presence in the Chicago market. This is an in-person, field-based role ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys building relationships, engaging with the local community, and representing a mission-driven company focused on improving access to mental healthcare.
You’ll play a key role in outreach, networking, and partnership development — helping connect patients, providers, referral partners, and community organizations to our services. This role is highly hands-on and requires someone who is comfortable being out in the field daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Build local relationships with healthcare providers, clinics, community organizations, employer groups, and referral sources across the Chicago area.
- Conduct in-person outreach including site visits, drop-ins, meetings, events, and networking activities to raise awareness and generate referrals.
- Identify new partnership opportunities and regularly grow a pipeline of prospective referral and community partners.
- Support patient acquisition efforts by educating partners and community members about our services and access pathways.
- Track activity and outcomes in CRM tools and provide regular updates on outreach progress and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of partners and to share feedback from the field.
- Support marketing and events such as community talks, health fairs, and partner meetings.
- Represent the company professionally as an ambassador of our mission and values in the community.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 0–3+ years of experience in business development, sales, outreach, community relations, account coordination, or a similar role (healthcare experience a plus but not required).
- Comfortable working in-person and out in the field daily throughout the Chicago area.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you enjoy meeting people and building relationships.
- Self-starter with strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
- Mission-driven with an interest in mental or behavioral health.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation for local travel.
