Clinical trial Study Facilitator: Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, and in collaboration with the Medical Monitor, Co-Investigators (Co-I’s), Clinical Research Coordinators, and the other assistant session monitors, this uniquely experienced provider will conduct manualized psychedelic drug-assisted therapy sessions and non-drug assisted sessions according to the study protocol as an assistant session monitor. They will clinically attend to study participants as they undergo experimental drug treatment sessions, which includes the taking of vital signs, completing instruments to assess participant behavior, and intervening with verbal support or reaching out to the on-site medical provider in case of a psychiatric or medical emergency. Duties include, but are not limited to, enrollment and safety assessments, study source completion, conducting non-drug study visits meant in preparation for and follow-up from drug administration visits, and the facilitation of drug administration visits according to study protocols and within their clinical scope. Meetings with the Investigators and research team are expected on a case-by-case basis and will depend on the study protocol. The work involves patient research with participants with a range of mental health disorders, including but not limited to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders. Participants typically require routine assistance, treatment or a specialized and controlled environment. Primary emphasis on clinical research trials in a medically complicated patient population, with the use of a combination of controlled substances and counseling. Works with a multidisciplinary team to support clinicians with a range of training backgrounds to conduct psychedelic-assisted sessions and treatment protocols in a research setting with a medically complex participant population.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related area  and 3+ yrs related work experience; and/or equivalent experience.
  • Strong skills in providing individual and group behavioral therapy, behavioral analysis and / or educational interventions.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws and ethical standards associated with profession.
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication. Demonstrated active listening, persuasion and counseling skills.
  • Strong skills in collaborating with heath care providers, PIs and community partners.
  • Knowledge of business software, specialized applications and EHR systems used in behavioral health clinics / clinical departments.
