Myceliumatters is seeking a Communications & Social Media Intern to support outreach, relationship-building, and social engagement + creation leading up to the Fourth Annual Texas Mushroom Conference.
This is a remote position & paid internship.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications & Outreach
- Assist with outreach to potential sponsors, vendors, speakers, collaborators, and community partners
- Communicate via email, phone/ text, and Instagram message
- Help track conversations and follow-ups with partners
Social Media & Digital Engagement
- Engage with partner and community posts (likes, comments, shares, reposts)
- Engage with followers who interact with our content
- Assist with creating social media graphics & short-form videos using Canva + CapCut (reels, stories, clips)
Organization & Coordination Support
- Help keep track of deadlines, timelines, meetings, and calls
- Assist with scheduling and calendar coordination
- Support internal organization using shared tools (Google Drive)

This is a part-time role (10 hrs/week) for 16 weeks with mentorship support, clear guidance, and templates.
A $1,000 stipend is available for this internship as well as potential travel stipends.
Skills Needed:
- Fast & efficient email, phone, & social media communication
- Comfortable reaching out to people professionally
- Familiarity with Gmail, Instagram, TikTok, Zoom, & LinkedIn
- Experience with Canva and CapCut (or eagerness to learn)
- Organized and responsive
