About Odyssey
In 2023, we ran the first legal psilocybin retreat in US history.
Odyssey is a pioneering mental health company providing professionally guided psychedelic experiences in Oregon and Colorado, with more states coming. Our clients report unheard of outcomes in mental health:
NPS of 89, with the majority saying their Odyssey experience ranks among the top five most meaningful experiences in their entire lives.
We are a seed stage Public Benefit Corporation, led by Gabe Charalambides (Stanford Aero/Astro + MBA; Cape, acquired by Motorola) and backed by top-tier investors who believe psychedelics will transform mental healthcare.
We're building something that didn't exist two years ago. And we need people who want to build with us.
About the Role
People come to Odyssey at turning points in their lives. Some are dealing with depression that hasn't responded to traditional treatment, grief they can't move through, anxiety that's held them back for years. Others are empty nesters searching for purpose, professionals seeking clarity at a crossroads, or people drawn to spiritual exploration and growth.
By the time they book a call with us, they've done their research and they're ready to talk to a real person. You're that person.
What You'll Do
Most of your day: conversations that matter.
You'll have around 8 exploration calls per day—30 minutes each, with buffers in between. These aren't screening calls or sales pitches. They're real conversations with people trying to figure out if this is right for them. You'll learn their story, explain how Odyssey works, answer hard questions honestly, and help them decide.
When someone's a good fit, you'll match them with the right facilitator and experience, then walk alongside them through booking. When they're not, you'll tell them—and help them find a better path.
The rest: follow-up and coordination.
You'll manage a pipeline of people at different stages—some ready to book, some still thinking. You'll follow up via call, email, and SMS. You'll coordinate with facilitators, collect deposits, and hand clients off to operations. You'll keep your CRM clean and your notes useful.
About the Team
We're a small, fully remote team spread across the US, Mexico, Colombia, England, and Israel. We're open to candidates from anywhere, as long as you can work US hours and communicate fluently in English.
You'll join our Care Team led by Crystal Larkins, who'll be your day-to-day partner for onboarding, training, and coaching.
You'll report to Chris O'koko (Head of Growth & Brand), who oversees the Care Team and focuses on performance, metrics, and making sure you have what you need to succeed.
You'll be supported by marketing (fills your calendar), marketing ops (builds nurture flows), data (tracks what's working), and operations (takes over after booking). You won't be alone.
This is an early team. You'll have real input into how we build it—the processes, the approach, the culture. We're not looking for someone to fill a seat. We're looking for someone to help us figure out what this function becomes.
Our Philosophy
We are a high integrity team. Our litmus test: If I recorded this call and played it to the client's therapist, partner, or future self in five years, would I feel proud of how I represented our work?
What this means:
- Client-centered. The right outcome is what's best for the client—even if that means recommending they wait or choose a different path.
- No pressure. We never leverage vulnerability to push a decision.
- Honest about outcomes. Psychedelics are powerful and unpredictable. We set realistic expectations, not promises.
- Respect for the process. Many people need time. We give them space to decide without urgency.
Who You Are
The essentials:
- 3+ years in a care-oriented, client-facing role. Intake coordination, patient advocacy, admissions counseling, wellness consulting—something where you've spent real time on the phone having meaningful conversations, not resolving tickets.
- Fluent English, spoken and written. You'll spend most of your day on calls with US-based clients, and follow up via email and SMS. Your English needs to be natural and confident in both.
- Warm and clear communicator. You can explain complex, sensitive topics—what the research says, what it doesn't, what to expect—without making promises. Just the truth, delivered with care.
- Comfortable sitting with hard things. You'll hear about depression, grief, trauma, and feeling stuck. Daily. This should feel meaningful to you, not draining.
- Organized and self-directed. You can manage your own calendar, pipeline, and follow-ups without being chased.
- Available during US hours (Pacific through Eastern). All our clients are US-based.
Strongly preferred:
- Experience in mental health, wellness, or psychedelics—ketamine clinics, therapy practices, retreat centers, recovery programs.
- A personal connection to the work. Maybe psychedelics helped you or someone you love. You believe in this.
The Role Is / Isn't For You
This role is for you if:
You want to be early at a seed-stage startup that's building something new—where processes are still being figured out, things change fast, and your input actually shapes how we work. You find meaning in hard conversations about mental health, grief, and life transitions. And you believe psychedelics can transform mental healthcare and want to help make that real, one conversation at a time.
This role probably isn't for you if:
You need stability, established playbooks, and clear swim lanes. You find emotionally heavy conversations draining rather than energizing. Or you're looking for a sales role with commission and aggressive targets—that's not what this is.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $30,000–$55,000 depending on location + experience
Benefits: Health insurance, PTO, 15 company holidays (with the option to swap US holidays for your local ones)
We're an early-stage company, and this is a mission-driven role. The pay reflects that. What it doesn't reflect is the impact: your work will directly shape how thousands of people access psychedelic therapy for the first time. And as Odyssey grows, this role grows with it.
