Job Title: Fully Licensed Therapist (Clinician)

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid role; in-person and telehealth sessions)

FLSA Classification: Non-exempt (Hourly)

Expected Hours: 10-25 clinical hours per week.

  • Schedule to be negotiated based on client demand, organizational needs, and therapist capacity.

Licensed Therapist Description:

The Licensed Therapist at Sana Healing Collective is a fully licensed therapist who provides high-quality, trauma-informed mental health care aligned with the organization’s holistic, integrative care model. The Licensed Therapist delivers individual, group, and psychedelic integration therapy to a diverse and values-aligned client base.

This role is ideal for a therapist who brings clinical depth and cultural humility to their work, and who is passionate about community care. Licensed Therapists in this role will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, contributing to a collective that values authenticity, equity, and mutual support.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position with flexible hours. Compensation is $74 per clinical hour, based on client sessions and services rendered. Licensed Therapists have autonomy to set schedules and determine their caseload, with access to office space and telehealth infrastructure provided.

Additional benefits include:

  • Up to 40 hours of Chicago Paid Sick & Safe Leave and 40 hours of Chicago Paid Leave per year, calculated based on hours worked.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide culturally-responsive individual therapy, both in-person and remotely
  • Deliver individual ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), including preparation, medicine, and integration sessions
  • Provide psychedelic integration therapy for clients who utilize ketamine or other psychedelics
  • Facilitate group KAP and psychedelic integration sessions
  • Maintain accurate, ethical, and timely documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Maintain licensure in the state of Illinois
  • Complete any required training (annually)
  • Maintain professional clinical liability insurance
  • Collaborate with a collective of passionate and dedicated clinicians in a supportive environment
  • Lead or co-lead community events, groups, or trainings in their areas of expertise or interest
  • Commit to providing at least 10 direct clinical hours per week
    • Please be aware when considering your schedule and fit for this role - due to the availability of our medical providers, we can only schedule our ketamine-assisted psychotherapy sessions on Monday afternoons and Fridays
  • Uphold ethical, client-centered, and inclusive clinical practices

Optional Duties/Responsibilities: Based on experience and organizational need:

  • Contribute to the training and supervision of interns
  • Develop new programming or therapeutic offerings
  • Integrate complementary healing modalities, including but not limited to yoga, meditation, hypnosis, somatic therapy, or cannabis-assisted therapy

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Deep commitment to ethical, client-centered, and collaborative care
  • Demonstrated alignment with Harm Reduction, decolonial, and trauma-informed frameworks
  • Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills, including thoughtful use of diagnosis as one tool among many, rather than a definitive account of a person’s experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, empathy, and ability to engage with conflict constructively
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Ability to uphold professional boundaries and maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality
  • Commitment to ongoing learning, growth, and self-awareness
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a collective setting
  • Cultural humility and sensitivity to diverse identities and lived experiences
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and evolving clinical environment

Education and Experience:

  • Fully licensed in the state of Illinois (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD).
  • Certificate in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy or Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy from a recognized training program.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience providing psychotherapy, with prior experience providing psychedelic integration and/or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities preferred.
  • Experience with Harm Reduction and integrative, somatic, or trauma-informed approaches to therapy is a plus.
