Job Overview
The Nurse Practitioner at Mystic Health will serve in a senior clinical role within an interdisciplinary, integrative health clinic focused on mental health, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and whole-person care. In this role, the NP is responsible for delivering advanced clinical assessment, treatment, and ongoing patient monitoring, while working in close collaboration with physicians, psychotherapists, allied health practitioners, and research staff.
In addition to clinical care, the Nurse Practitioner contributes to Mystic Health’s clinical research and medical wellness programs. Responsibilities may include serving as a Sub-Investigator on approved clinical studies and administering IV vitamin therapy in accordance with established medical directives, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
• Clinical Care & Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy
• Conduct comprehensive advanced physical and mental health assessments for patients seeking ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and other medical wellness services.
IV Vitamin Therapy & Medical Wellness Services
• Assess patient suitability for IV vitamin therapy and related medical wellness services.
• Prescribe and/or administer IV vitamin infusions in accordance with clinic protocols, medical directives, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor patients during and after IV therapy for safety, tolerance, and adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to IV therapy assessments, consents, administration records, and outcomes.
Clinical Research Responsibilities
• Act as a Sub-Investigator on approved clinical research studies conducted at New Track Selfcare, as delegated by the Principal Investigator.
• Perform protocol-specified assessments and procedures in accordance with study protocols, ICH-GCP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support subject safety monitoring, adverse event reporting, and protocol compliance.
• Contribute to accurate and timely clinical research documentation, including source records and electronic data capture systems.
• Collaborate with research coordinators, investigators, and sponsors as required.
Team Collaboration, Education & Program Development
• Participate in multidisciplinary case review meetings, team meetings, and in certain conferences and relevant events
• Serve as a clinical resource and educator for staff on topics related to mental health, psychedelic-assisted therapy, integrative care, IV therapy, and patient safety.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment options, benefits, risks, and ongoing care considerations.
• Support patients in post-treatment integration and referrals to community or continuing care resources.
• Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, and evolving clinical services within Mystic Health
Compliance & Professional Practice
• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and infection control standards.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory, legal, and professional standards.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable nursing regulations, privacy legislation, and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practice, clinical guidelines, and patient-defined goals.
• Prescribe, administer, and monitor medications and therapeutic interventions within scope of practice, including documentation and follow-up.
• Monitor patient status during therapy sessions, including vital signs, mental status, and emotional wellbeing.
• Provide supportive medical care to ensure patient safety, comfort, and clinical appropriateness throughout therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with therapists and physicians to support preparation, dosing, monitoring, and integration phases of psychedelic-assisted therapy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
•Current and active Nurse Practitioner license in good standing with the California Board of Registered Nursing, with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and/or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
•Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in clinical settings involving mental health, addictions, chronic disease management, or therapeutic interventions.
•Current BLS certification (ACLS considered an asset).
•Current Standard First Aid certification and demonstrated competence in mental health first aid.
•Additional certifications or training in psychiatric nursing, mental health nursing, addictions medicine, or integrative/functional medicine are considered assets.
•Completion of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (PaT) or Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KaT) training, or willingness to enroll in and complete approved PaT/KaT training within a defined onboarding period. Preference will be given to those with training and/or experience in PaT/KaT.
•Eligibility and competence to provide IV therapy within scope of practice.

•Respond effectively to medical emergencies unrelated to medication administration.
•Deliver patient education related to harm-reduction, medication safety, and informed consent.
•Contribute to a safe and secure clinical environment, including appropriate response to aggressive or escalated situations.
Job Type: Part time with potential for Full time

RATE OF PAY
$65.00 – $80.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
