Role Overview
The Physician & Network Liaison is a direct sales role that builds and maintains referral relationships with mental health and healthcare providers across the DMV region. This is a consultative, relationship-driven role focused on education, partnership, and sustainable referral growth. This position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage referral relationships with psychiatrists, therapists, and healthcare providers
- Conduct in-person and virtual outreach with prospective and existing referral partners
- Represent Avesta at professional meetings, events, and webinars
- Initiate cold outreach using a balanced mix of email, phone calls, and professional social selling
- Track referral activity and engagement in CRM
- Use data and sales tools to prioritize outreach and manage territory effectively
- Collaborate with marketing and internal teams on events and outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- 1+ year of healthcare, medical, or practice marketing sales experience (pharma/device experience welcomed)
- Experience managing a large geographic territory
- Ability to clearly communicate clinical concepts to healthcare professionals
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable using CRM and modern sales tools
- Bachelor’s degree required (Psychology, Nursing, or Business-related Degree preferred)

- Ability to travel throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
