Remote / Europe-first Pink Elephant is a venture builder and investment company developing an ecosystem of progressive mental health solutions. Our portfolio combines media, diagnostics, e-commerce, telemedicine, and technology to make evidence-based therapies and holistic practices more accessible. Through our media platform States of Mind, we create high-quality content, diagnostic tools, and a curated provider marketplace, helping people navigate options from psychotherapy and ketamine therapy to wellness supplements and mindfulness practices. We focus on Europe and other advanced markets, preparing infrastructure for the coming wave of psychedelic and mental health innovation. Our mission is to destigmatize and expand access to progressive mental health solutions—ranging from advanced therapies to holistic practices—supporting both individuals with clinical conditions such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD, and those seeking to strengthen their overall mental well-being. We combine scientific rigor and evidence-based standards with clear, accessible communication to make these tools understandable and usable for everyone. The Role Lead development of Pink Elephant’s core diagnostic engine—an AI/ML platform that objectively assesses mental health through digital biomarkers from wearables, cognitive assessments, and laboratory data. This foundational technical platform powers Pink Elephant’s entire product ecosystem by providing diagnostic capabilities to consumer applications (Mental Health Copilot) and clinical tools (B2B2C triage & telemedicine) via robust APIs, SDKs, and integrations.
Responsibilities: What You Will Drive – Define technical architecture for the diagnostic engine and ML platform – Build and lead the technical team (ML engineers, data scientists, research engineers) – Design data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and analyzing multi-modal health data – Work with ML engineers on model development, training, validation, and deployment – Define accuracy metrics, evaluation frameworks, and validation protocols – Build API infrastructure for integrating diagnostics into other Pink Elephant products – Establish data requirements and labeling strategies for supervised learning – Conduct scientific validation studies to prove clinical utility and accuracy – Partner with research institutions for data access and clinical validation – Define technical roadmap balancing model performance, latency, and cost – Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations – Translate diagnostic capabilities into technical specifications for internal product teams
Experience: What You Bring Required Qualifications: – 5+ years in technical product management (ML/AI platforms or data infrastructure) – Technical background in ML, data science, or related field (advanced degree preferred) – Experience building ML platforms, data pipelines, or AI infrastructure – Understanding of ML model lifecycle: training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring – Experience building and leading technical teams (ML engineers, data scientists) – Ability to work directly with ML engineers on technical decisions and architecture – Understanding of API design and system integration patterns – Knowledge of healthcare data standards and privacy regulations – Ability to translate between technical implementation and business value – Fluent English
Preferred Qualifications: – Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in computer science, ML, neuroscience, or related field – Experience building diagnostic algorithms or clinical decision support systems – Background in digital biomarkers, wearable data analysis, or time-series modeling – Knowledge of FDA/CE regulatory pathways for AI/ML medical devices (SaMD) – Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud ML infrastructure – Familiarity with clinical validation study design and statistical analysis – Understanding of MLOps, model versioning, and platform architecture – Prior work in health data platforms, medical devices, or research tech – Experience with feature engineering for health data
