About Odyssey

Odyssey (a Public Benefit Corp) is a seed-stage, pioneering mental health startup on track to become among the premier providers of psychedelic therapy in the United States. Odyssey provides legal, professionally guided psilocybin experiences, currently in the states of Oregon and Colorado with plans to expand to additional states as jurisdictions allow. In 2023, Odyssey made history by running the US’ first legal psilocybin retreat in history and has been at the forefront ever since. Client outcomes have been exceptional, with an NPS of 89 and the majority of clients reporting the experience as among the top 5 most meaningful experiences of their lives.

Odyssey is led by Gabe Charalambides (Stanford Aero/Astro and MBA, Cape (acq Motorola)) and funded by top tier investors, family offices and angels.

The Role

Odyssey is seeking a Product Manager to spearhead a variety of product initiatives as the company’s first dedicated product hire. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, responsibility, impact, and ownership, with the opportunity to shape the product in a significant way. The Product Manager will work closely with CEO Gabe Charalambides and our Head of Growth, reporting directly to Gabe.

This is an incredible opportunity for future-founder PMs who are excited about doing meaningful, human-centered work that will deeply touch the lives of many.

What You’ll Do

User/product experience:

  • Own the end-to-end user journey — from first website touch to private sessions and retreats — ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and delightful experience throughout.
  • Audit and refine every step of the product flow with a fine-tooth comb, removing friction and elevating delight.
  • Dream up and implement new ways to deliver experiences that surprise and exceed expectations.

Product positioning and offering:

  • Define the core product offering and how it’s best positioned in the market.
  • Craft clear, compelling messaging and continuously test variations to sharpen positioning.

Launches new products and services:

  • Identify opportunities to launch new products and services that guide clients before, during, and after psychedelic experiences.
  • Explore offerings that support preparation, integration, and ongoing practice — creating value at every stage of the client journey.

GTM:

  • Support GTM initiatives including word-of-mouth programs, care provider referral networks, and niche market explorations.

Customer/persona ownership:

  • Be the voice of the customer across the organization.
  • Conduct interviews with prospective and past clients to deeply understand needs, motivations, and barriers.

Who You Are

Your Background:

  • 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally with full product lifecycle ownership (from discovery to launch).
  • Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end user experiences across web and/or services.
  • Strong customer empathy and experience with user research, interviews, and persona development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to simplify complex ideas and craft clear positioning.
  • Bias toward action and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-changing startup environments
  • Demonstrated passion for psychedelic therapy

Ideal:

  • 6–8+ years of total experience, with time spent in a senior or lead PM role.
  • Experience as a first product hire or building product functions in an early-stage startup.
  • Background in healthcare, wellness, or regulated industries where safety, compliance, and trust are paramount.
  • Direct experience with marketplaces, service design, or client journeys that extend beyond digital products.
  • Strong grasp of go-to-market strategy and comfort collaborating with sales/marketing on positioning
  • Design experience is a bonus, especially pertaining to physical experiences
