Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to serve as a full-time Professional Rater. Half of this position will focus on working on the the newly funded ADAPT initiative (Aligning Discoveries Across Psychedelic Therapies), a major research effort focused initially on establishing validated approaches and methods to reliably measure biological effects using MRI in the exciting and emerging field of psychedelic medicine (https://adaptroadmap.org). The other half of this position will focus on imaging and behavioral studies of populations at risk for or with mental health challenges.
The position will work closely with research participants and study staff, playing an important role in supporting high-quality data collection and ensuring smooth study operations. Successful candidates will be organized, dependable, and comfortable interacting with human research participants in a professional and welcoming manner. Responsibilities include collecting, reviewing, and uploading MRI data according to standardized protocols, while contributing to collaborative research efforts at the intersection of neuroscience, mental health, and emerging psychedelic science. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate interested in gaining hands-on experience in human subjects research and neuroimaging, before pursuing graduate training in psychology, neuroscience, medicine, public health, or a related field.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, screens and schedules subjects for study per protocol.
- Collect, review, and upload MRI data according to standardized protocols.
- Maintains proper documentation and record keeping.
- Monitors and orders supplies necessary for study.
- Prepares information packets for patients enrolled in study.
- Research, focused initially on establishing validated approaches and methods to reliably measure biological effects using MRI.
- May receive training from Professional Rater II, Professional Rater III or others based on organizational structure.

Salary Range
$17.34 - $25.40 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
