We are seeking to appoint a Psychedelic and Clinical Rating Specialist to join our dedicated team in Manchester.
The focus of this role is to
- To support the successful delivery clinical trials of new therapies for a range of mental health and neurological disorders.
- To facilitate the delivery of subject screening, treatment and assessment visits
- To provide psychological support to subjects undergoing a psychedelic experience
- To perform rating scales in clinical trials ensuring protocol, GCP and regulatory compliance.
- To support subjects throughout their visits and ensure a positive clinical experience.
- To collect clinical trial data and perform administrative duties on assigned studies as required and in accordance the trial protocol, company policies and procedures.
- Undertake additional training and evaluation in clinical rating tools, and in protocol and Good Clinical Practice requirements.
Requirements
Essential:
- Undergraduate qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, including nursing, clinical psychology or other related scientific or clinical subject.
- A minimum of 2 years working experience within mental health.
- To be independent and self-motivated with the ability to manage own time, prioritise workload and to work collaboratively within a team.
- To be able to proactively identify risks and issues.
- To be proactive, creative, and display problem-solving skills
- To work in a collaborative way and be an effective member of the team
- Pay exceptionally close attention to detail
- Possess excellent oral and written communicative skills. Fluent in oral and written English
- Possess excellent inter-personal skills.
- Be professional, courteous and able to effectively communicate with staff and trial subjects.
Desirable:
- To have prior clinical experience in a mental health setting.
- To be knowledgeable about issues related to psychedelic drugs, theory, setting and equipment.
- To have an interest for the field of psychedelic drug development
- To have an understanding and awareness of altered states of consciousness.
- To have experience of the collection and interpretation of adverse event data, including vital signs assessments.
You must hold a full UK driving licence, and be available to travel at least 70% of the time (our sites are based across the UK and Scotland).
