Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site/hybrid Psychiatrist role based in Las Vegas, NV. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing mental health conditions, developing tailored treatment plans, and providing evidence-based psychiatric care to clients. Key responsibilities include performing psychiatric assessments, prescribing and monitoring medications, collaborating with therapists and care teams, as well as offering support for individuals participating in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. The candidate should demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and dedication to improving client well-being.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Psychiatry, including clinical skills to diagnose and treat mental health disorders
- Experience in Adolescent Psychiatry and addressing a diverse range of mental health conditions
- Strong foundation in Psychiatric Care, including prescribing and managing psychiatric medications
- Knowledge of Mental Health principles, trauma-informed care, and best practices in psychotherapy
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a valid license to practice psychiatry
- Board certification in Psychiatry or Adolescent Psychiatry is preferred
- Experience with ketamine-assisted psychotherapy or willingness to undergo training in this area
