Position: social media manager
Type: part-time, remote, 1099
Hours: 10-20 hrs monday-thursday with potential for growth
Experience: 2+ yrs
Compensation: $25–$40/hr DOE
Role Overview:
we’re looking for a social media manager to join the set+setting team in supporting a leading nonprofit client in the psychedelic space. this role is perfect for someone with a foundational understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and digital storytelling — especially as it applies to mission-driven brands.
you don’t need to be an expert in psychedelics, but you should be curious and informed. you should come in ready to take initiative and navigate social with confidence.
Responsibilities:
• write and schedule social content across instagram, linkedin and other platforms
• draft content outlines for a variety of social media content types
• support basic content production — light canva graphics, sourcing images, etc.
• monitor accounts and engage with community
• collaborate with our creative and strategy teams to bring content to life
• keep an eye on trends, holidays, and key moments in the space
• managing data and creating social media analytics reports
Qualifications:
• strong writing and visual communication skills
• baseline knowledge of the social media landscape and platforms
• familiarity with or ability to learn canva, google workspace, asana, and scheduling tools such as heyorca
• highly organized and able to work independently
• a heart for mission-driven work and a head for critical thinking
