Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team as a Spravato Technician at Psychiatry of the Palm Beaches. Our mission is to help patients live their best lives by providing innovative and evidence-based mental health treatments. This role focuses on supporting patients undergoing Spravato (esketamine) therapy for treatment-resistant depression in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, has a good attitude, efficient, fast-paced, professional and passionate about mental health care. You should thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting, be comfortable handling medical and administrative responsibilities, and deliver exceptional customer service. Prior experience with Spravato or ketamine treatments is a plus—but we are willing to train the right individual who is eager to learn and grow with our team.
Responsibilities
- Inform patients about the treatment, potential side effects, and the process of the treatment
- Maintaining a clean environment for the patients, organizing, and stocking supplies
- Answer inquiries regarding the treatment and addressing patient concerns
- Scheduling appointments, managing patient charts and insurance
- Compliance with REMS, DEA, Med log audits, auditing Spravato charts as needed
- Provide excellent customer service for our patients
- Managing phone calls, inquiries, and cleanliness of Spravato Treatment rooms.
- Assisting with patient care and medications
- Conducting vital checks on patients during Spravato Treatment
- Managing Spravato scheduling
Requirements
- Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential.
- Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with medical administrative support functions is beneficial.
