Psychedelic Science Institute is a next-generation clinical trial and treatment network founded by leaders in neuroscience and mental health with 30+ years of collective experience in psychedelic and neuroscience research.
Our TRIP Clinics:
1. Conduct psychedelic clinical trials for mental health and neuroscience conditions
2. Offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and complementary clinical services
3. Train future psychedelic therapists and researchers
4. Develop scalable and affordable care models
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive, culturally responsive, and strengths-based mental health assessments.
- Develop clear treatment plans with strong case conceptualization and intervention strategies and/or provide psychotherapeutic care per clinical trial protocols.
- Deliver individual, couples, group and/or family psychotherapy using a trauma-informed, transpersonal approach.
- Maintain professional, hygienic shared treatment spaces.
- Assess and manage risk and crises in compliance with California law, mandated reporting, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure client safety, respond to adverse events, and track clinical data.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in monthly chart reviews and audits.
- Support development and delivery of clinical programs, including psychedelic-assisted therapy and research initiatives, in collaboration with the Clinical Director.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GCP, HIPAA, and all applicable legal/regulatory requirements.
- Attend required supervision, meetings, and trainings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Active California license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist) with 5+ years of experience treating mental health conditions and at least 2 years in psychedelic-assisted therapy.
- Completion and maintenance of required certifications (e.g., GCP, HIPAA, protocol-specific training).
- Adherence to SOPs, safety reporting, and protocol fidelity.
- Strong client-centered, empathetic approach and exceptional bedside manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
- Skilled in psychological evaluations and diagnosis.
- Familiarity with non-ordinary states of consciousness in clinical settings.
- Collaborative, positive, and team-oriented mindset.
