About Us

The Microdosing Collective is the first 501(c)3 nonprofit in the U.S. advocating for microdosing research, legalization, and education. According to the 2024 RAND report, an estimated 4 million people in the U.S. are already engaging in psilocybin microdosing. We are a growing community of 18,000+ passionate individuals, united by our belief in the transformative potential of microdosing for mental health, physical well-being, and personal development. We advance this mission through community events, free webinars and resources, policy advocacy, and research, amplifying the stories and science of microdosing.

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and motivated volunteer to support our digital presence and help nurture our growing community. This role is ideal for college students or early-career professionals seeking hands-on experience in social media, marketing, and community engagement within the psychedelic space.

Role Overview

As a Volunteer Social Media & Community Assistant, you’ll help shape our digital storytelling and foster community connection through engaging online content. You’ll support the team in weekly tasks that expand our reach and impact, while learning the ins and outs of grassroots community building, advocacy, education, and communications in a rapidly growing movement.

What You’ll Do

  • Social Media Content Creation: Assist in developing and scheduling posts across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) using tools like Canva.
  • Writing & Communication: Craft thoughtful captions, refine brand tone, and communicate our mission with clarity and creativity.
  • Community Building: Help engage with followers, respond to messages, and support online conversations that encourage connection and learning.
  • Admin & Support Tasks: Support digital organizing, event promotion, and community outreach strategies and execution.
  • Learning & Research: Stay curious about psychedelic policy, research, and harm reduction - helping translate complex topics into accessible, engaging content.

You Are:

  • Passionate about digital community building and social impact
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong follow-through
  • Curious about or experienced in psychedelics, wellness, or advocacy
  • Skilled in Canva, or eager to learn basic graphic design and content creation
  • A strong communicator and writer with a collaborative mindset
  • A proactive, solution-focused learner who enjoys taking initiative

What You’ll Gain:

  • Hands-on experience in social media management, communications, and grassroots advocacy
  • A chance to build your portfolio and develop professional skills in the psychedelic policy and wellness sector
  • Mentorship, feedback, and networking opportunities within a passionate, purpose-driven team
