Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our luxury wellness retreat center in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This is an exceptional opportunity for a bilingual professional to manage a world-class facility serving guests from around the globe while building a long-term career with our growing organization. For this role, we are seeking a female expat who resides in the area. 

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Oversee and enhance operational processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Coordinate tasks, manage resources, and maintain smooth daily operations
  • Employ problem-solving skills to address challenges and develop innovative solutions
  • Foster a positive, proactive work environment aligned with our values of peace and harmony

Staff & Contractor Management:

  • Manage and coordinate local staff and contractors (15+ team members)
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all staff and contractors
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing team development
  • Maintain staffing schedules and coordinate with various service providers

Guest Experience & Standards:

  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards across all guest interactions
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and commitment to healthy lifestyle practices
  • Handle guest concerns and feedback with professionalism and care
  • Monitor facility maintenance and cleanliness standards

Financial Operations:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping and journal entries
  • Track operational expenses and budgets
  • Process payments and maintain financial records
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum associate's degree from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of managing retreats or hospitality operations with 15+ employees
  • Prior experience in social work or human resources is highly valued
  • Proven track record of success in similar management roles

Technical Skills:

  • Strong project management skills (formal training preferred)
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Bookkeeping experience with daily journal entry capabilities
  • Proficiency in Google Office and Google Docs
  • Detail-oriented and ethical

  • Commitment to a healthy lifestyle, free from addictions (minimum 5 years recovery if applicable)

  • Reliable transportation for punctuality and availability
  • Open to discussing alternatives for highly qualified candidates without personal transportation
